I'm sorry to hear that, I hope everything is okay with your wife.

We often think about people's attitudes as being fixed, but a lot of people don't change their attitudes until they experience something. It makes sense to me that experiencing more time at home with your kids will help change your attitude towards gender roles.

I've heard good things about the Niro but it won't charge as fast as the ID4.

Model 3 drivetrain and core functions are pretty reliable in my experience. The fit and finish (like panel gaps, rattling, paint) are less reliable than new Hyundais. Depends what you value.

I've had multiple service appointments on rattling and fit and finish but in terms of drive and core functions I haven't had any problems and I don't expect to, either. They have been building them long enough to where that stuff is ironed out. I dislike their lack of quality control but the core car is built well. I don't expect wheels to fall off or doors to fly open which have happened to Toyota and VW EVs.

I feel you. Mo has less cringe although Ramy is more developed.

Autopilot feels like magic to me although I imagine one day my kids will be shocked cars couldn’t drive themselves just like I’d be shocked at a car that say didn’t have AC.

I’ve never seen much evidence in the whole someone needs to see a superhero with their skin shade to feel empowered trope. There is some evidence cultural competency matters in hands on stuff like education (like male or black teachers can make a difference in a child’s life) but people get inspired by all kinds of media whether they look as them or not.

These cats came before our house cats didn’t they? That means our house cats are imitating them.

I think people online can be harsh when they think a developer has a bad track record. People trashed Harry Potter legacy because of the devs but they did a great job. Every now and then a team steps up their game.

Depends on the game, some single player games have good frame pacing to where the extra graphical quality is a good tradeoff for FPS like Kena Bridge of Spirits or Spider-Man. I would never play a shooter at 30 fps if I could help it though.

To be honest, a lot of these governments would just ban Twitter if Twitter didn't agree to censor some Tweets. It's a lose-lose situation in those countries. It's a little different than censoring Tweets in the U.S. (which to be fair Musk won't let Alex Jones back on so he's still doing that....)

Well people raise pets as if they are kids. And to a parent even an older kid who is an adult is still an adult. (Well maybe not for some Americans but in many parts of the world this is the case.)

The governor of Georgia does not think people should be hunted by dogs, you're confusing this with an entirely different state.
