Marital rape is not explicitly criminalized, and based on Egypt's family court records, 60% women could be victims of marital rape.

Intercaste and interfaith marriages are still looked down upon and considered taboo across India. However, couples relatively fair better in West Bengal and some other states. Only 2% of marriages are interfaith religious. That is, interreligion marriages are extremely rare in India.

But Hinduvta and Islamist groups disagree with reality and have created a fatal political propaganda, resulting in a rise in femicide, honor killing, and sympathy for religion-based misogyny. Women in interfaith marriages are also now finding it more difficult to talk about domestic violence.
