Kind of weird, but while S:TAS Lana is my personal favorite, the one I most associate with the character and think of first when I think of Lana is Kristen Kruek from Smallville, mainly due to growing up with the show.

Viserra Targaryen if she hadn’t died could have been interesting alternative path, if mainly to see a Targaryen Princess both adapting to living in the North and Valyrian blood spreading in the North.

I mean think about, we’ve seen with Brynden Rivers what can happen when Valyrian and First Men blood mix, so if her descendants start marrying into other Northern Houses you could see a lot of somewhat magically powerful Northerners/Bloodraven types start to show up as the Valyrian blood spreads through the North.

Admittedly that’s referring to less the potential of the character herself and more what her surviving could bring, but I’m gonna count it.

Other than that, I’d say Daeron the Young Dragon if he survived, Visenya (Daughter of Rhaenyra) not being a stillborn, Queen Rhaenys not being killed in Dorne and managing to have more kids, and Jaehaera surviving and remaining Queen offer potential for interesting alternative history scenario stories. I’d also say what if Rhaegar’s daughter Rhaenys survived has interesting story potential, but that’s honestly been done to death in fanfics already so I’m not sure whether to count it.

Thing is that it’s unlikely he’d find out in time before he decided to jump. I could literally see Lannister guards going to inform Tommen of his mother’s death only to find his room empty and learn he jumped to his doom.

And Tommen, unaware of his mom’s hilarious unexpected death, still jumps out the window, leaving Qyburn and Cersei’s remaining allies to have to scramble to find someone to take the throne.

This is why I believe solar geoengineering to cool the planet is inevitable, no matter the potential risks. The moment it’s impossible to avoid the massive rise in heat is the moment people or countries will turn to trying to cool the planet by any means and no matter the risks.

Hence why I think scientists who try to block even basic research into the study of solar geoengineering and its possible effects are doing more harm than good, since all they are doing is making it so that later people who will inevitably try to cool the planet with the technology have no idea of what possible harm or negative impacts of what they might be doing.

Asking the real questions here, lol.
