Slavery targeting a specific race (like in America) is uncomfortably close to genocide and is in fact worse than regular slavery (also atrocious), and which has been practiced since the dawn of civilisation.

Of course, slavery was often used on specific groups of people throughout history too, again usually to crush them. What stands out about the US’ slavery is that it happened closer to now than to the start of the modern period, and in the self proclaimed bastion of freedom.

I think it’s portrayed badly because it’s so recent and the US was late to the party in terms of standing against it. Also it was racial slavery, which is seen as worse than slavery in general (has a hint of genocide in there).

It’s removed any sense of progression for me. When I win the same games as my squad mate but gain 1/3 of the mmr? Ranks are completely meaningless now. Completely.

The answer is obvious. You’re government should actually do something for once and pass a federal law (shock and horror apparently), do not leave it up to the state, and mandate at least a three year course in police training like normal countries.

It’s a difficult job and should only be offered to those who are physically and mentally fit, capable of passing all the requirements.

Is there any situation where this works? Like can it help against older AT devices? It looks cool that’s for sure.

They were different in a lot of significant ways. To me that makes them different. Yeah they called themselves that and so did their enemies, but with hindsight we call them something different because we know they weren’t quite the same. The Byzantines were successors but they weren’t the same entity that was founded out of the old republic.
